Yellowstone National Park, Ranger Naturalist Service (1938)

Old Faithful erupting against a deep blue sky. Between 1938 and 1941, WPA artists made just 14 silkscreen posters for the National Park Service, and this Yellowstone design is one of only five that survive in the public domain. The original was hand-printed, one color layer at a time.

Artist: C. Don Powell, WPA Federal Art Project · Park: Yellowstone
